Fireworks in October

We finally went to the Spring Hill Country Ham Festival this year. We piled as many people as we could into my Pilot (5 adults and 2 kiddos...didn't know my car could fit that many people?...Ha..it wasn't comfortable though!). The weather was beautiful! We walked around and stayed to hear one of my mom's homeschool students, Kelsey Muse sing. We got the kids home for a nap, then went to my Aunt and Uncle's house (they recently moved here from Florida) to celebrate my cousin Leah's 15th birthday and then here is what we did afterwards....

You know how the Country Ham Festival has fireworks at the end of the day? Usually about 7pm? Well, we loaded up the cars with chairs and blankets and found a spot on Kedron so we could have a great view of the fireworks. It wasn't crowded and it was FREE! We had front row seats (in our opinion). We will definitely be adding this to our yearly "things to do." Some of my friends enjoyed the fireworks from their house in Spring Hill....how cool! What a nice change to enjoy fireworks with a chill in the air instead of heat and mosquito's :)
