Staying dry....yeah right! :)The weather has been keeping us inside lately which is great for my grass but not as good for the boys.
My in-laws have been in town, and last week for Brock's birthday we decided to take a trip to Murfreesboro to the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring. What great place (and very age appropriate for Brock)! It took us about 40 minutes to get there (right up 840 to I-24). We got there a little after they opened and stayed until about 1:30pm. We packed our lunch and ate there so we could play a little longer. The place was full of stuff for the kids to do. You could easily let them spend a majority of the day there and they wouldn't be bored. Plus, for only $5 a person and free for $2 and under, I thought it was a deal!
They had a firetruck to get into, a place for the kids to be an archaeologist and dig, live turtles, snakes, birds, train tables, building blocks, an art room, a farmer's market, a two story slide, a water station, a house to play in, a little "town" with Home Depot, a Post Office, Music Store, Kroger, a tree house and much more (there was even a room with fun things for babies to crawl around in and explore....you will not lack for things to do. It is a great place to let your child's imagination run wild!
